Christmas table and tree decorations can be made from anything as simple as construction paper and glue, to more elaborate Christmas table topiaries. 

Christmas tree decorations can also be made from craft sticks, glitter, wallpaper samples, and the old standby, popcorn strung around the tree. Some examples of simple but nice Christmas table decorations are arrangements of berries, pinecones, acorns and other natural items gathered from outdoors. Christmas crafts are always fun for the little ones, and it gives them something to do rather than try to peel back the wrapping on their gifts to peek at what is inside. Children can make tiny silver bells to hang on the tree with foil and cardboard, or use wall paper samples or construction paper to make very pretty fans to hang on the tree.  Another old standard that is quick and easy for little hands is construction paper chains.

These chains can be hung on the tree or used as colorful streamers around the home.  The only limit is your imagination, and the benefits are many, the best of which is spending time with your family, making not just decorations, but fond memories to look back on in Christmases to come.
