Decoration Safety Tips

Christmas time is fast approaching, and safety with those Christmas tree decorations and Christmas party decorations are of utmost importance in most people's minds.

Families wishing to research Christmas tips for safe Christmas party decorations may do so by reading tips in local papers and magazines, and can also conduct online searches for holiday safety tips.

Some safe Christmas tips for Christmas tree decoration are listed below:

1.  Keep the tree away from fireplaces, radiators, TV sets and anything else that could dry the needles.

2.  Keep candles away from the tree and use fireproof decorations and light reflectors. Do not let tinsel touch the light sockets.

3.  Check all Christmas tree lights for loose connections or bare wires before use. Any set of lights with brittle, cracked insulation should be replaced rather than patched.
4.  Plug in all sets of lights to detect burned out bulbs and short circuits before putting them on the tree.

Some Christmas tips for safe Christmas party decorations are listed below:

1. Make sure that the candles are not situated too close to other decorations or in places where invited guests will be draping their coats and jackets.

2. Never use candles to decorate trees, even artificial trees.

3.  Use candle holders that are study, won't tip over easily, are made from a material that cannot burn, and are large enough to collect dripping wax.

4.  Always insure that the candles are out of reach of children. They present too much temptation for little hands.

5.  Once the party is over and the guests have left, extinguish all candles when leaving the room or going to sleep.
