1. Make sure that the candles are not situated too close to other decorations or in places where invited guests will be draping their coats and jackets.
2. Never use candles to decorate trees, even artificial trees.
3. Use candle holders that are study, won't tip over easily, are made from a material that cannot burn, and are large enough to collect dripping wax.
4. Always insure that the candles are out of reach of children. They present too much temptation for little hands.
5. Once the party is over and the guests have left, extinguish all candles when leaving the room or going to sleep. |
