| It is surprising for many to learn that birds, particularly
the larger variety, can fling seeds and feathers in all directions
surrounding their cages.
This can require a lot of diligence
on the part of the pet owner in order to keep the surrounding
area clean. With all birds, the cage must be kept in an area
without cold drafts and, of course, if you have other pets, such
as cats, the cage needs to be high enough that the cat cannot
reach it.
With birds, as with other animals, when considering acquiring one for your home, the main thing is to consider how much work it will take to keep your pet clean and healthy and if you and your family are ready to commit to the degree of pet care required by this pet.
With the right research and attention, a bird can make a wonderful addition to your family for many years to come. |
