Easter Decorating Idea
“He is risen”…and
when this day comes, humankind brings out eggs of outrageous
shapes and sizes, making one wonder if He may just laugh
out loud and hoist the world on a petard any time soon.
Often
many would find this configuration incompatible, but really
Easter has been a consensus between an important Catholic
feast and a pagan celebration.
The term Easter itself is
derived from pagan tradition, from the spring goddess named
Eastre. Easter is otherwise known in Christian parlance
as the Feast of Resurrection or Pasch.
Whatever the case may be, Easter is generally misconstrued as a Christian event since its inception.
But then, Easter traces its origin to millennia ago when pagans awaited Eastre each spring, hence festivals in her honor. |
|
When the day Jesus Christ resurrected fell on the
same period (between March 22 and April 25), the long-standing
pagan celebration had to contort to a newfound commemoration.
With that, comes the amalgam that is easter decorating idea.

Equal parts pagan and Christian, easter
decorating ideas at any rate incorporate the idea of Easter
eggs. Ever since pagan eras, Easter eggs stand for
new life each spring.
For all the obvious reasons, they complement
the very concept of resurrection rife in the Christian
Easter.
Meanwhile the idea of an Easter Bunny decoration
is attributed to Eastre's supposed fondness for hares. Inevitably, Easter eggs are favorite home decoration
idea, when properly decorated.
In convention, dyeing or painting chicken eggs makes
Easter eggs. Chicken eggs may be hardboiled before embellishing;
otherwise they may be emptied of its yolk or “blown-out”.
A more evolved custom is making use of egg-shaped chocolate or any other confectionary. Some eggs are even plastic, generally filled with candy such as jellybeans. |
Easter eggs may be placed in bowls and baskets, side by side with a porcelain Easter Bunny. The Germans and Ukrainians have another idea though, which has caught on with America since post-Civil War.
Apparently the Easter eggs can be suspended from an Easter Egg Tree. The tree of choice is usually a leafless evergreen, frequently sold in most stores at spring.
One way or the other, there are interior decoration ideas beyond eggs or bunnies.
Since eating out is apt on this day, dining room decoration idea must be at play to welcome guests after the church service and traditional egg hunt.
Not exactly a cake decoration idea, but a cake stand can then serve as an ideal table centerpiece.
Artificial rabbits can be used to decorate your home. If you want then you can also color them in different colors.
Or if you want to enjoy Easter to its fullest then you can also keep real rabbits in a decorative cage this will look more beautiful. Can also decorate eggs with different colors and glitters can also be used for this purpose.

This is realized by ringing the plate with glass votives or silver cups filled with fresh blossoms of spring like tulips, roses, and freesia. If one may,
white dinner plates on a white linen tablecloth may be bedizened with green salad plates, pink glasses, colored eggs, and fresh tulip place cards for guests. |
