 Independence Day

Yearning for freedom is at the core of every human heart, an implicit, telltale indication of humanity at any rate. Across the existence of humankind, independence, if not freedom, is the summary goal of an all-too universal aspiration.

Any sane human being will clamor for such ends no wonder then that incarceration has been apt as a method of punishment since primordial times. If anybody should understand the preciousness of independence, it is the human being.

Ironically, it is also the human being who may stifle that very ideal - and take it away from the grasp of a fellow one.

What joy then, for anyone to reclaim independence, even in ideal terms. For that very reason, it is pure bliss for any individual to relive any moment when such privilege was redeemed.

Without abashment, a nation itself will in fact rejoice in nostalgia over the day it assumed independent statehood, its Independence Day. For what it is worth, countries honor their respective independence day as a national holiday. The exchange of country Independence Day cards as well as country greeting cards on such a day is not unusual.

Though history may prove its leaders inconsistent in the country's ideals of freedom and respect for others’ freedom, the United States of America is one proud nation whose Independence Day celebrations are looked up to.

For a country that has called universal aspirations as its own, it is only fitting that it celebrates it with utmost pomp and stridence. On July 4, stars and stripes wave like no other day, and the rest of the land reverberates with patriotic parades, picnics, concerts and fireworks.

Throughout the Land of the Free, the fireworks on this day are as passionate as the people's American Dream. An estimated whopping $201.9 million worth of fireworks was imported from China in 2005, representing the bulk of all US fireworks imported.

Since the day is apt to fall on a summer, Fourth of July celebrations are traditionally largely characterized by picnics and barbeques. Gift-giving is an option, lest one chooses to hand out cards for Independence Day instead.

In general, the greeting card industry dishes out freedom greeting cards in observance of this occasion. The Internet owes it to the country where it was sired to accommodate opportunities for electronic Independence Day cards. Equally awesome Independence Day cards are free country greeting Cards found over the Internet such as Independence Day ecards.
