 New Year Balloon Party Decoration

Every waking moment of the year was spent counting down the days to the next doctor's appointment, the next romantic date or that elusive time when one has moved on after a bumming breakup.

But no other day has been counted down in a magnitude that is worldwide, let alone communal. Before the clock ticks the tock to midnight, decors are brought out double that of birthday party decorations.

This is prevalent across many cultures, a time when friends congregate in a particular friend's house dressed to the nines, doing their best to upstage the host.

Aside from donning the best raiment and popping the best champagnes around, the host has it on himself or herself the burden of New Year party decorations.

A New Year party decoration can be more low-key than one would like it to be. But then again, more flamboyant decorations can be bought, lest made at home to usher the impending year.

Aptly enough, balloons make stunning party decoration for the coming New Year. An idea is to fill deflated balloons, using a funnel, with confetti. When the clock strikes midnight, the inflated balloons may be popped.

With enough construction paper, confetti can be made in the comfort of the house. Instead of confetti, another idea is to scribble fortunes on small slips of paper and insert into each balloon.

More drama can be concocted by way of balloon drops, these being tremendously fitting balloon decorations for the New Year. Balloon drops create dramatic special effects for incepting occasions, which is the very essence of New Year.

You can also fill the dropping balloons with glitters and candies. In this way the balloon drop will be a full surprise. If you wish, you can also use long balloons to mold them into different objects and animals like dogs, cats and rabbits. Use balloons to decorate doors and food tables and chairs. You can also write Happy New Year with long balloons. Tie some balloons with the ceiling fan and lamps, or place a balloon inside another balloon.

One can make balloon drops by arranging a hundred latex balloons in a large plastic bag or net that is rigged with a cord to the ceiling. When the clock strikes twelve, someone may pull the ripcord and release the balloons.

New Year balloon decorations are not the only décor there are. A flair for creativity spells an infinity of ideas for the New Year, not least of which are like theme party decorations.
