 Hawaiian Cake Decoration

Hawaiian decoration for cakes does not lie in the shadows, for sure. Any party store can provide decorative picks ranging from hula dancer figures to cute palm trees. Otherwise, tiki masks are not that much of a reach.

Moreover, edible flowers contribute to a more tropical look to the cake, though they can be expensive.  The tropical setting is also a nice outdoor party decoration theme.

If the cake is for a celebration happening at night, glass tiki torches would make a resplendent ambience around the cake, without any relent.

More than anything, a plain cake must be frosted first before deluging it with plastic décor of all kinds. The frosting itself can double as decorative finishes on a plain cake. Saturating the market nowadays is a myriad of different icings, each with infinite prowess as décor.

Try to use symbols of Hawaii for decoration such as skateboards, sea, coconut trees and even Disney characters Lilo and Stitch. You can also use Hawaii subtropical flowers made of sugar paste.

You can also use real flowers for decoration such as the green cymbidium orchid, star fighter, purple orchids, white oriental and pink tiger lilies. Using seashells is also a good idea as it indicates sea but try to find local seashells.

There's royal icing for one, a hard white frosting made from softly beaten egg whites, icing sugar, and sometimes lemon juice. This one is widely used for wedding cakes but it can be for Hawaiian cake decorations.

One other icing is called fondant, a confection used as a filling or coating for cakes, pastries, and candies or sweets.

In its simplest form, this is simply sugar and water cooked to a point, but it makes for great birthday cake decoration nevertheless. In its viscous state, fondant can essentially be used as chocolate cake decoration.

Lastly there's a confectionery consisting primarily of ground almonds and sugar, termed as marzipan. Instead of coming up with Hawaiian party decorations for the cake, one can bake a self-appointed Hawaiian cake itself.

The ingredients consist of butter, white sugar, baking soda, pineapple, pineapple juice, flaked coconut, chopped walnuts, vanilla extract, and graham crackers. The resulting concoction of these ingredients may then be baked in an oven at 175 degrees C for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The Hawaiian theme party decoration cake would ever make a great addition to a luau buffet table.
