Try and match as much of your colour palette
as you can. Not only does this make kid bathroom decoration
much easier, but it also means that you can cover over small
areas in case of accident (and there will be accidents).
You can then add small details, such as doorknobs
in special shapes, or fun bathroom mirrors (be careful to hang
these securely, in case you have to leave the bathroom unattended).
Discount stores sometimes have bathroom sets that
are cheerful and cartoon-like, often with sea animals painted
on them, and these are ideal for kid bathroom decoration, not
least because they are cheap to replace.
As you are creating this bathroom for kids, you can visit
your local crafts store, and pick up a few stencils. There are bound
to be some with fish or seashells, or even some with ducks. Use them
on the back of the door, the side of the bath, and any cabinets you
have included.
Don't forget the rubber ducks! |
